File Name Convention
Photo4D uses a specific file name extension for each file type. A
file name must end with the following extension, depending on the
file type:
- .ppm - 24-bit true color PPM image file.
- .pgm - 8-bit gray scale PGM image file.
- .gif - GIF color image file.
- .tif or .tiff - TIFF image file.
- .rast or .r - Sun Raster image file.
- .rgb or .sgi - IRIS RGB image file.
- .tga or .targa - Targa image file.
- .bmp - Microsoft Windows Bitmap image file.
- .jpg or .jpeg - JPEG image file.
- .mpg or .mpeg - MPEG video file.
- .avi - AVI video file.
- .pef - Photo4D Export File.
- .vrl - VRML File.
- .dxf - AutoDesk`s DXF file.
- .raw - Raw Triangle file.
A motion capture project uses sequential files which consist of a set
of files with file name in the format of nnnxxxx.ext, where "nnn" is
the base name of the file and the name of the video, while "xxxx" is
the frame number of the video.
