Disable the Windows password. When you first set up Windows, you may have been asked to specify a Windows password. If you specify a password during setup, you are thereafter required to enter your password each time Windows starts. If you do not need this security it is nothing but a nuisance.   To disable the Windows password: Click here to open the Password Properties dialog box. Click Change Windows Password. Type your existing Windows password in the Old Password text box. Make sure the other two text boxes in the dialog are empty. Click OK. Click OK to close the confirmation window. Click Close.
