Turn off window animation. Normally when you minimize or maximize a window, it changes with a smooth animated effect. Although visually pleasing, this creates additional computing overhead. Some less powerful computers may be slowed down by window animation.   Turn Off Window Animation To turn window animation off or on: Check the Turn Off Window Animation checkbox to stop window animation. Or, Uncheck the Turn Off window Animation checkbox to restore window animation. Click Restart to restart Windows.
