Find2000
is a SAS/AF« tool that helps uncover Year 2000 problems in SAS code
by finding occurrences of date-related strings. It is available in a
free Standard Edition and an Advanced Edition. Both editions can be
downloaded from the Qualex web site: http://www.qlx.com/.

- All entries in a SAS catalog can be searched at once,
including the following entry types:
- SOURCE
- SCL
- PROGRAM
- LOG
- OUTPUT
- HELP
- CBT
- CATAMS
- All ASCII files in a directory can be searched at once.
- A default set of search strings is provided. Add to this set
or create your own sets.
- The following wild cards are available:
- # any digit
- ? any character
- @@@ any 3-character month (e.g. Jan)
- `MM` any 2-digit month (e.g. 01 through 12)
- `DD` any 2-digit day (e.g. 01 through 31)
- `MMDDYY` 6-digit dates that fit the mmddyy6. informat
- `DDMMYY` 6-digit dates that fit the ddmmyy6. informat
- `YYMMDD` 6-digit dates that fit the yymmdd6. informat
A
program is also provided which downloads all members of a
mainframe-partitioned SAS data set to a directory of your choosing.
The
Advanced Edition also provides the following:
- Search variable values in SAS data sets:
- Multiple data sets at the same time
- All variables
- Only character variables
- Only numeric variables
- Search selected variables
- Search the SCL associated with FSEDIT SCREEN entries
- Search SAS Format/Informat range and label values
- Search the Format/Informat names assigned to SAS data set
variables
- Search SLIST, CLASS, FRAME, and EIS entries
- Summary view of search results with drill down
Requirements: Windows 95, SAS Version 6.12, VGA resolution,
SAS/AF«, SAS/FSP«, SAS/Graph«.
