Millennium YIIK-RTCÖ

The Millennium YIIK-RTCÖ card is an ISA card, which corrects the Year 2000 problems associated with the real time clock and BIOS's of personal computers. The Millennium YIIK-RTCÖ has its own real time clock built into it and therefore can provide the system with the correct time at any moment.

This is very important for OS which require directly the date from the RTC like NT, UNIX, LINUX, and in the same way, some software i.e. those for backup, mailbox, voice-box, industrial process

Concerning its functionality, the Millennium YIIK-RTC card is NSTL certified Tested Compliant Year 2000. And about its technical specifications, it is certified CE for Europe and FCC for USA.

The Millennium YIIK-RTCÖ card makes all PCs compatible definitively, quickly, easily and fully Y2K compliant. No need to buy another PC :

  • Replacing faulty RTC by a 100% certified Year 2000 hardware based on a DALLAS RTC / 4digits 2 buffers
  • Corrects leap year operation and year 2000 rollover
  • No special programs or applications to be installed û Plug and Play
  • Operating system independent
  • Transparent operation
  • Simple and quick installation
  • Zero maintenance
  • 100% solution to hardware problems
  • Cost effective

NSTL certified solution TESTED & COMPLIANT

The YIIK-RTC is first activated as part of the boot process of the PC, and immediately programs the motherboard real-time clock with the correct time and date which is stored in the YIIK-RTC's own real time clock.

Once an operating system is loaded, the YIIK-RTC automatically redirects any BIOS call made to the YIIK-RTC, rather than to the system real time clock. Further, when the system enters any software environment, the YIIK-RTC ensures that no application or operating system can read the incorrect time from the motherboard real time clock.
