Omnesys VC2000
Omnesys VC2000 provides applications with their own view of
a system's clock. Multiple applications on the same machine
may each have their own notion of the current time,
simultaneously. The view of the time for one application does
not affect the view of the time for another application. All
but final testing for Year 2000 compliance may be done on
existing test and development systems. The need to use,
maintain, staff and fund a dedicated lab for Year 2000 testing
is all but eliminated.
Reduce the Demand for Year 2000 Lab Time to Final
Testing
Omnesys VC2000 allows each user to set their own time, any
time. VC2000 accepts dates in the past as well as in the
future. With VC2000 you may run a test today, and run the same
test, starting at the same point in time, tomorrow. You may
even change the date during a running test so you may observe
the behavior of your system at multiple points in time within
the same test run.
Rerun Tests from the Same Starting Point ù Every
Time
Omnesys VC2000 maintains an audit trail of all date and
time changes by each user. VC2000 also provides the ability to
quickly identify critical dates that have not been tested.
Maintain an Audit Trail of All Date and Time Changes
Omnesys VC2000 does not require recompiling, re-linking or
rebuilding. Any program that makes use of date and time
functions that are located in libraries that are dynamically
linked may be used with VC2000.
