Excelsior is the first
automated Year 2000 tool for Excel workbooks that is designed
and priced for the end user. With a single click of a button,
Excelsior scans all cells and formulas for 2-digit years. As
it scans, Excelsior automatically converts all 2-digit years
into 4-digits. Excelsior looks into hidden cells and workbooks
and also converts their date formats if required. But that's
not allùExcelsior checks all date expansions. If anything
appears suspicious, it is tagged as an exception. All
suspicious VBA code is color-coded. Excelsior also embeds a
report, detailing scan results and changes made to workbooks
in its own worksheetùright inside the workbooks. If more than
one workbook is converted at a time, Excelsior produces a meta
report summarizing scan results and changes made to groups of
workbooks.
Excelsior is the ideal tool for any organization. It's
simple to use, lightweightùapproximately 5 MB in sizeùand
requires only a Pentium 166 MHz, 32 MB of RAM, and Microsoft
Excel installed on the system. Excelsior works in Windows
95/98 and NT 4.0 and is compatible with Excel versions 5.0,
95, and 97. It renovates right out of the box. It can work
with multiple workbooks simultaneously and can scan a 1.4 MB
workbook (544,000 cells, formulas and 1500 lines of VBA code)
in approximately 92 minutes. Excelsior includes 43 built-in
search patterns with the ability for the user to create their
own custom search patterns, so Excelsior can be tailored to
meet the needs of your business. While your staff is assisting
in renovation, your IT personnel can concentrate on quality
control. They only have to address Excelsior's exceptions and
VBA code renovation. This leaves them more time to concentrate
on Year 2000 strategies.
