Caroline Lee Kennedy Schlossberg was only 3 years old when her father was elected 35th President of the United States. After his death in 1963 her mother, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, fiercely guarded her and brother John's privacy to ensure as normal an upbringing as possible away from continuous public scrutiny. She attended the Brearly School in New York, Concord Academy and Radcliffe College in Massachusetts as well as Sotheby's fine arts training school in London. She is an accomplished horsewoman, poet, painter and photographer.
