Searcher Professional is a complete DOS and ZIP file management and 
text searching utility for MS Windows, version 3.x. It searches all 
of the selected disks in your system, for files and text you specify 
with multiple search specifications for: disks, paths (including all 
sub-directories), file names (incl true wildcards) text contents, 
file attributes, file size, and/or file creation date. 
 
Like Searcher v3.0, files which match any of your specified search 
criteria are displayed in scrollable list boxes, which include the 
file's name, path, size, date, file attributes, and the location of 
the text string in the file. For text searches, the text string and 
surrounding characters are displayed, while for "file only" searches, 
the first line of the file is displayed. The files may be sorted by 
file name, extension, directory, date, or size. Files which are 
selected from the list may be ZIP compressed, unZIPed, launched 
copied, moved, deleted, have attributes modified, viewed for text 
with the Searcher Pro Editor, or any of over 100 included icons, 
may be installed in the Program Manager for the files, in one step. 
 
Additional features of "Searcher Pro" include the ability to 
save and recall all search parameters and control settings at the 
touch of a button so that for example, the program can be configured 
to backup specified files and directories, automatically starting a 
search, selecting all files which are found and initiating a copy 
operation, by pressing one button. While copying in backup mode, 
Searcher Pro resets all files' Archive bits and un-selects the 
file as it is copied and optionally verified.

Searcher Professional comes with Free Launch and File Tree. Free
Launch is a Task Manager replacement which launches, terminates 
or switches the display mode of multiple applications in one step. 
File Tree shows your directory tree in two dimensions, allowing you
to initiate a search by double clicking on a folder or by selecting
many folders and choosing search from the menu. Dropping files from
Searcher onto File Tree also initiates a copy or move operation.

clicking on the View button in Searcher Pro, the Searcher Pro Editor is 
automatically started and opens up to 16 windows of the selected files 
from Searcher Pro's list box. If the file was found in a text search,
