Estimate of the number of BBSes in the United States

versions which do not say they may be FREELY DISTRIBUTED or 
which prohibits copying or distribution may not be distributed.

The latest FREE SAMPLE ISSUE is always first uploaded
to EXEC-PC BBS and Compuserve Investors Forum for 
free distribution. The file is typically in the form of
FYMMDD.EXE where Y is the last digit of the year, MM are
the digits denoting the month, and DD denotes the day of
the month.  For example, F30426.EXE would be forecasts
as of the close of market on year of (199)3, month of 04,
and day of 26, i.e. April 26, 1993.

Every time you upload the latest FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of 
ProfitMaster to a bulletin board (BBS) that DOES NOT YET HAVE 
the latest version of FREE SAMPLE ProfitMaster, and that will
make it available for caller downloading, you earn a minimum
$4 credit.  

If the BBS has more than 1 line (node), you get extra credit
as follows (for BBSes that have multi-lines or multi-nodes):
02-05 lines/nodes: $1;
06-10 lines/nodes: $2;
11-15 lines/nodes: $3;
16-20 lines/nodes: $4;
21-25 lines/nodes: $5;
26-30 lines/nodes: $6;
31-35 lines/nodes: $7;
36-40 lines/nodes: $8;
41-45 lines/nodes: $9;
46-50 lines/nodes: $10;
over 50 lines/nodes: $12;

For example, for a one-line(node) BBS, the credit is $4;
for a two-line BBS, the credit is $4+$1 or $5;
for a five-line BBS, the credit is $4+$1 or $5;
for a 45-line BBS, the credit is $4+$9 or $13;
for a 50-line BBS, the credit is $4+$10 or $14;
for a 51-line BBS, the credit is $4+$12 or $16;
for a 100-line BBS, the credit is $4+$12 or $16;

(DOUBLE THE ABOVE CREDITS IF YOU ARE A PARTICIPANT OUTSIDE 
 THE UNITED STATES, E.G. CANADA, EUROPE, ASIA, AUSTRALIA, ETC.)

The credits may not be redeemed for cash but can be applied 
towards the purchase or subscription of any commercial version 
of ProfitMaster (at the then prevailing price, which may be
different from the current price). The credits do not apply 
to shipping and handling charges, which must always be pre-paid 
with check, money order or credit card.

From the above information, it is obvious that the larger the BBS
you upload this FREE SAMPLE ISSUE to, the more credits you can 
earn for the same effort.  It is therefore advantageous to upload
to BBSes with 51 or more lines/nodes (You get $16 per upload).  
In any event the more you upload to the right BBSes, the more 
credits you will get.


Here is how to proceed:

(1) Call up a BBS and determine if it has the latest FREE SAMPLE
issue of ProfitMaster.  ProfitMaster files are in the form of 
FYMMDD.EXE, FYMMDD.ZIP or FYMMDD.LZH.  The YMMDD are 5 digits 
which represent the last digit of the year (Y), the two digits of 
the month (MM) and the two digits for the day of the month (DD).
For example, F30426.EXE would be forecasts made as of the close of
market on YEAR: (199)3; MONTH: 04; and day of the month: 26, i.e.
April 26, 1993.

You must upload to BBSes that will make the FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of
ProfitMaster(tm) available for caller downloading to earn
credit for that upload.  If you upload it to inappropriate
BBSes, e.g. those devoted exclusively to match-making or
other non-file-transfer activities, you will earn only a token
$1 in credit.  Also, you must upload only the latest FREE SAMPLE
ISSUE to qualify. To determine the latest FREE SAMPLE ISSUE,

If you inadvertently uploaded older FREE SAMPLE ISSUES, all is not 
lost.  Just call us at 408-773-8715 for instructions.


(2) If a BBS does not have the latest FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of 
ProfitMaster, but will make FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of ProfitMaster
available for downloading by callers, then you are in luck.  
Upload the latest FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of ProfitMaster (keep a 
log while you do this). 

Note that your upload must contain all support files and 
documentation, without any omissions or additions and must be 
aggregated and compressed into a single file. 
The easiest way to do this is simply use the latest copy from 
EXEC-PC BBS or Compuserve Investors Forum.  Some BBSes will
not allow EXE files, so you are authorized to decompress
and then re-compress all the files into the proper ZIP, ARC, 
LZH or whatever format the sysop requires.  Remember, all files 
must be included, no omissions or additions (including this file
which you are now reading). You must also retain the file name 
convention, i.e. file must be of the form FYMMDD (plus extension), 
where YMMDD designates the date, i.e. last digit of the year, 
month and day.

(3) After you have finished your upload task, print out 
the "log", and specify the BBS name and telephone number, the
number of lines or nodes the BBS operates, the date and time 
of your upload (as shown on your log printout, which you should 
send along), the file name of the FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of ProfitMaster 
you just uploaded and the location (i.e. the area or library or 
place in the BBS where it was uploaded to. You can simply 
highlight the "log" printout where such information appears.).  
If you are the first person to upload the latest FREE SAMPE ISSUE 
of ProfitMaster to the BBS and it is the type of BBS that will 
carry said FREE SAMPLE issue of ProfitMaster, you've just earned 
credit.

(4) Fill out the accompanying ORDER_FM.TXT text file 
containing the Order Form, along with documentation of all
your uploads, and send the Order Form and Documentation
along with your name, address and phone number, and appropriate
balance of purchase price or subscription fee, plus shipping
and handling charges, payable to "ITC", to:

QUESTION: What if I have uploaded to just one good BBS?

ANSWER: No problem.  You are still rewarded with $4 minimum credit
per upload plus additional credits for multi-line or multi-nodes, 
so long as it is properly documented. So no matter how little you 
do, you are entitled to reward.



METHOD#2:

Every time you give the latest FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of ProfitMaster 
to a friend who owns a PC or clone and is an active investor, 
but who has never heard of the software, ProfitMaster, you are 
eligible for a $4 credit.  A friend is defined as someone, not 
a member of your immediate household, whom you know personally 
and well:

(DOUBLE THE ABOVE CREDITS TO $8/FRIEND IF YOU ARE A PARTICIPANT 
 OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES, E.G. CANADA, EUROPE, ASIA, AUSTRALIA, ETC.)

Here is how to proceed:
(1) Determine that your friend 
    (a) owns a PC or clone;
    (b) is an active investor;
    (c) has never heard of ProfitMaster before.

disk format that he/she can use);

(3) Note down your friend's name, address and phone (for our
verification), and the date of your introduction of our
FREE SAMPLE ISSUE, as well as the name of the file i.e. FYMMDD.EXE,
where YMMDD provides the date of the forecast;

(4) Document all your introductions of FREE SAMPLE ISSUE of Profit-

QUESTION: What if I have introduced only one friend to 
ProfitMaster?  Am I still entitled to some credit?

ANSWER: Absolutely!  A full $4 credit is awarded to every
introduction. Simply deduct your total credit: $4 X (number 
of introductions) from whatever the purchase or subscription
price you choose and pay the difference (plus $6 for shipping 
and handling; $12 for overseas airmail). Be sure to enclose 
with your order and payment the documentation for all the 
credit you are entitled to as instructed above.  Remember, 
no matter how little you do, you are entitled to reward.


METHOD #3:

YES. You guessed it!.  You can combine all of the above methods
to earn your credit.  Be sure to send full detailed documentation 
for your credits along with the Order Form in the ORDER_FM.TXT 
file that accompanies this file.

especially if you act early.  As time passes, more and more 
BBSes and shareware vendors would have already carried the latest
