Looking for proven modifications for the new PRO 43 scanner ?

Restore cellular bands; significantly lower volume of keypad entry
beeps; improve high frequency response of built-in speaker;
and add the 54-88 Mhz band  !!!

Go on-line to Compuserve and look into the HAMNET forum and use the
"browse" "all files" commands with "radio shack" or even "pro-43" as
keywords to find the files. I believe 3 mods are in one file and 
the fourth is by itself in another.

I have done the 4 modifications myself and they work. Just be SURE you
know EXACTLY which diodes and resistors to remove and/or move. If your not, 
don't try it. And, of course, anything you do is YOUR responsibility.

By, the way, monitoring the cellular bands is illegal.
