Both complexes are charged with � � refusing to rent units to African-Americans, and one complex is also � � alleged to have dscriminated against families with children. The � � lawsuits, filed in U.S. District Court in Detroit, name the owners and � � managers of the Kings Pointe Apartments in Warren, and the East Pointe � � Manor Apartments in East Pointe as defendants. "The tester program which � � led to these lawsuits was conducted by both Department of Justice � � personnel and testers employed by the Fair Housing Center of Metropolitan � � Detroit under a contract with the department's Civil Rights Division.
