This TEMPORARY work around for the high speed modems is only for those
fax/modems which are compatible with the CCITT specification for V.32bis
modems. This work around consists of a customized file which replaces the
MOD.EXE that is shipped with the Winfax program and installed in the Windows
subdirectory.

Once the individual modem manufacturers have upgraded the firmware to
resolve this problem, you will have to replace the original MOD.EXE file
into the Windows subdirectory. Therefore, it is very important that a copy
of your existing MOD.EXE file is backed up on diskette before this work
around is implemented.

Please note: the firmware upgrade from the modem manufacturer will be
required to be compatible with future versions of the Winfax software.
