The special character can be set using the sequence <special>=<newspecialchar>. For example, @=# would change the special character to a hash (#) character. The special character may be set to any printable ASCII character except the blank character (any character in the ASCII range [33, 126]). In normal use, it should not be necessary to change the special character of FunnelWeb, and it is probably best to avoid changing the special character so as not to confuse FunnelWeb readers conditioned to the @ character. However, the feature is very useful where the text being prepared contains many @ characters (a list of internet electronic mail addresses).
