NAME

root.chk - Checks contents of root owned startup files as well as a variety of miscellaneous potential dangers.  

SYNOPSIS

root.chk  

DESCRIPTION

root.chk checks the paths inside root's startup files for writeability as well as looking to see if the current directory is in root's path, for improper umask settings (world writable), and if /bin, /etc, /.login, /.cshrc, /.rhosts, and /.profile are all owned by root.
