NAME

group.chk - Checks group file(s) for inconsistencies.  

SYNOPSIS

group.chk  

DESCRIPTION

group.chk checks the group files -- /etc/group and ypgroup if yellow pages are being used -- for incorrect number of fields, duplicate groups, non-alphanumeric group names, blank lines, and non-numeric group id's.  

FILES


/etc/group
group.chk uses the process id as a temporary file name for the ypchecking.
