Manual dialing

• If you are using an unsupported modem, you may need to use manual dial.
• If you need to include unsupported characters in the dial string, you must use manual dial.
• To configure the modem for manual dialing, Do Not Enter a Telephone Number on the Async. Communications tab.
• When dialing manually, the HPC brings up a window that lets you communicate directly to the modem. The particular commands that you enter depend entirely on the modem you are using (see the documentation shipped with your modem).
