ABSTRACT:

LAT001.EXE is the first maintenance patch for NetWare for LAT 1.0.  It is
recommended for all NetWare for LAT 1.0 sites.

SYMPTOM

1. If a user improperly exited an emulator, the server could abend. (this was
rare, 1 out of 1,000+ times)

2. The circuit dropped when there was a bridge between LAT Host and the 
NetWare for LAT server. 

SOLUTION 

Install LAT001.EXE.
NOTE: Even after the installation of this patch, bridging with the LAT
protocol is not recommended.

To Install:

1. Copy CMSPX.NLM to SYS:\SYSTEM on the NetWare for LAT server.
      
2. At the NetWare for LAT server console, type: UNLOAD NWLAT  <enter>

3. At the NetWare for LAT server console, type: CSDOWN   <enter>

4. At NetWare for LAT server console, type: LOAD INSTALL  <enter>

5. In INSTALL, select Product Installation.

6. Hit the Insert Key.  

7. Enter the path to the directory you unzipped LAT001's into.
Note: this installation only adds patches to currently installed NetWare for
LAT software.

8. Follow the online instructions.

9. After installation is complete, exit the install program.

10. Down, Exit and Reboot server.

11. Patch installation is now complete.


Solution Specifics:

Symptom #1
CMSPX.MLM modified.

Symptom #2
Update of the Meridian LAT stack to version 3.3+, in order to make LAT bridge
connection more robust.

Patch History:

This is the first released patch for NetWare for LAT 1.1.
