ES3210 Newtare 386 3.0 Server Driver Table of Contents Name Size Date Time !RII0101 CFG 6306 3-09-90 8:26a ES3210 LAN 11378 6-19-90 10:11a INSTALLING THE ES3210 NETWARE 3.0 SERVER DRIVER - ES3210.LAN 1) Copy the RII0101.CFG configuration file into the configuration directory on your EISA computer. A detailed procedure is included in the ES3210 Installation Manual(950-1278-00 AA). A summary follows: a) Copy A:!RII0101.CFG C:\ b) Change to configuration utility directory with CD command. c) Type: CF - where means ENTER key. d) When the utility is up it will display all the cards installed in your EISA machine. Select the slot with the words Racal InterLAN ES3210 Ethernet Controller. e) Type: CTRL-D to enter change mode. f) Press ENTER when the cursor is at the parameter to be changed. g) Remember the slot the card was installed in if there is more than one ES3210. This will be needed later when loading the drivers. h) When finished configuring save the configuration and exit the configuration utility. 2) Bring up the file server. 3) When the : appears type: LOAD ES3210.LAN where is the directory name where the *.LAN files are kept, i.e. C:\NW386\. stands for the ENTER key. 4) You will be prompted for interrupt value, DMA channel and I/O base address.( Remember those things you were told to write down in step 1 above?). 5) Finally you must bind the driver to a protocol by typing: BIND ES3210 TO where will usually be IPX and is again the enter key. 6) You will be prompted to enter a network number. Enter a number and the server is ready to communicate with workstations.
