NAME
getlogin - Get login information
SYNOPSIS
getlogin
[-Iv]
DESCRIPTION
getlogin
uses
getlogin(3)
to echo the login name to standard output with optional extra information
and verbose leader and has the same problems as
getlogin(3)
so consider using
cuserid(1L)
instead.
USAGE
Options
- -I
-
Gives information about the program.
- -v
-
True if the command is to work in verbose mode, not suitable for
backquoting and echoing more information to standard output or standard
error.
DIAGNOSTICS
The following values may be returned to the calling process:
-
- 0
-
No errors noted
- 1
-
Returned when the user information is not available.
