This rather large collection contains over 1600 icons. Many of these icons were created/modified by me, but quite a few have also come from other collections. If any of these icons are copyrighted and you would like for me to remove them from the collection, please contact me and I will take them out right away. Many of the icons are 256 color, meaning they won't look good if your display is set to 256 colors. For proper viewing of these icons, your display must be set to either high or true color, and you must either have Microsoft Plus installed with the option to show icons using all possible colors or use the Microangelo color depth selector, available from my website. A few of the icons (like the last 30 in Filetypes.icl in the Computer folder) look best when your icon size is set to 48. However, most of the icons are not designed like this and look best at 32.

Release 2 of the collection contains about 40 new icons, all of which are of very high quality. Most of these were contributed by Adam Zimmerman. Thanks Adam!

To view/use the icons, you must either change the icon of a shortcut or filetype, or download Microangleo (www.impactsoft.com). If you want to use them for a shortcut, right click on the shortcut, find the Change Icon button, click it, hit Browse, go to the folder where you have the icon libraries, and choose a file (to see them, you will need to have All Files selected under Files of type). After you select a file, click Open, and then select the icon you want. The procedure is much the same for a filetype, except that their properties are accessed through the View/Options menu of Windows Explorer. They are all contained in .ICL libraries, which you can rename to .DLL if you want to make it easier to get to them in the change icon dialogs.
