SET FILTER TO [<expL>]

-----------------------------------
Provides access to records that meet a condition.
-----------------------------------

Only those records which meet condition will appear to be present in the
database. All commands which access the database respect the SET FILTER
condition.

Separate FILTER may be SET for each database file in USE. FILTER is not
evaluated until the record pointer is moved in a database.

<expL>
        Usually references field or fields in database. Must be legitimate
FoxPro expression.

        Issuing SET FILTER TO without optional <expL> turns off conditional
restrictions.
