How to setup a new account in order to email

If you have no email address setup & you don't know how to email another person, then continue reading else bugger off!

1. First of all you need to get an email address for yourself. You can usually get one off your ISP or your college/university may allocate you one. But I hate these addresses, it means that your college/university can take a peek at your message's if they are in unencrypted form (Assuming you communicate in forms other that 3-DES encrypted documents & the mail resides on the servers of the establishment). This small tutorial will tell you how to setup a email FREE account with an external, independent organisation (Hotmail).

2. Go to http://www.hotmail.com. You will be presented with a logon screen. You do not want to logon as you don't have an account, so you click the "Sign Up Now" link at the top of the page.

3. You will be presented with a TOS (Terms of service) crap. Just scroll down and click I Accept.

4. Profile Information - Fill in you real 1st & second name, as these will appear on all your messages that you get (and will be referenced when you logon). Enter all the rest of the information as bogus stuff! If You want, enter all bogus stuff, as if I care!

5. Account Information - This is the important part. Member name - This is the name of the address that will appear before the @hotmail.com, i.e. xxx= xxx@hotmail.com. Enter your password that you will use for the account & verify it. A secret Question & answer is there just incase you forget your password so enter some crap question & answer there. Choose not to be listed in internet directories! Then click signup. If you done anything wrong, you will be prompted to re-enter.

6. The rest of the process is simple. If you chose a name that's already been taken, it will give you some alternatives. After it says:

you can click "Continue At Hotmail"

7. Now your back to Hotmail logon screen. Logon with your new logon name and password! (This is like you just entering http://www.hotmail.com again)

8. 1st time you logon you will get free subscriptions (do not select any) scroll down and click "Send My Web Courier", else you will be spammed to death. (aka spam = junk mail)

9. You are now in your mail box WoW!

10. Read you 1st junk mail from the hotmail staff!  (click Hotmail staff to view it)

11. Click Addresses = > Individuals [Create New]

12. Enter Nickname [boss], email address [wajid@secretservices.net]

13. Click OK! Now click on my email on the next page to type in your message. Then click send! all done.

14. Your address is now xxx@hotmail.com (obviously depending on when you entered at step 5. Give this out to people and chill out. To read your mail, just go to http://www.hotmail.com! simple! (TIP: Create as many addresses as you like, nobody cares!)
