| How-to download Real audio/video files It now has become very easy for us to download real audio/video files. There is an util X-FileGet where you can download files through a pnm protocol. But it's probably still a little troublesome how to do that. Follow these steps. I suppose you've installed some version of Real Player and X-FileGet . 1. If you have found the song you always wanted, look at the link it pointing to, if it is a .ram file then it's easy, if not goto point 4. 2. Right click on the link and choose 'save as', save it somewhere. 3. Open the .ram file at somewhere in a plain text editor. Goto point 6. 4. If everything is right Real Player should be spawned. Push the 'stop' button on the player. 5. Now there should be an .ram file in your windows temp dir (eg. C:\WINDOWS\TEMP). Open it a text editor. 6. It probably says pnm://some.site.com/somedir/anotherdir/somename.ra?blabla . Now select and copy the part from pnm to .ra, not the rest! : ) 7. Go to X-FileGet and paste the link in the download window. There it goes! |
