Solution: If you have an *.MDB file existing with a report connected to this file and there are 3 tables within this file: Crystal.MDB - Access file SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Database (Table 1) SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Reporting (Table 2) SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Made (Table 3) From within Access you have added a new table, Easy (Table 4), to Crystal.MDB. To show this update within Crystal Reports you will have do the following: Click on DATABASE | ADD FILE TO REPORT and add the updated Crystal.MDB, which includes the new table named Easy. Crystal will prompt you by saying that the alias names for Database, Reporting and Made all exist, followed by a prompt to change these alias names. Change all the aliases to Database1, Reporting1 and Made1 The following tables will be included within your Crystal Reports file: Crystal.MDB SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Database SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Reporting SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Made SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Database1 SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Reporting1 SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Made1 SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Easy However, 3 of these files are redundent and, therefore, you can now remove them. Click on DATABASE | REMOVE FILE FROM REPORT and remove Database1, Made1 and Easy1. The result will yield your orginal tables plus the one new table, Easy. Hence, Crystal.MDB SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Database SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Reporting SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Made SYMBOL 183 \f "Symbol" \s 10 \h Easy {file name} Y] st!"ABCOPopqvxy*D $ % & * `* , - L M N R T ^ o s u -/eg(*BDcfs!OxGI , T X Z \ ^ k m o q s u ڽڸʽڸ곮0*0*0* 0*0*0*h0*h0* 0* h 0* h h;!-TECHDOC;B 4$MOu * u BTimes New Roman Symbol&Arial5Courier New 1Courier#9Ys?Llt+KWw99999999999999 "h+c؅څ & uTechnical Document TemplateTechnical Support DocumentUUse this as a standard format for all the technical support documents to be sent out.Allan D.
