Simply Solutions Introduces Visual DLL

SANTA ANA, Calif - Simply Solutions today introduced Visual DLL, a new
product that provides the capability for creating true Microsoft Windows
DLL's using Microsoft Visual Basic without requiring development tools such
as a C compiler or the Windows Software Development Kit.

    Visual DLL is an add-on tool for Microsoft Visual Basic. Visual Basic
programmers can now create the types of programs that were previously not
possible to create without using a difficult programming language such as
C.  Visual DLL provides the capability for creating Windows File Manager
extensions, Windows Control Panel `Applets', libraries for use with
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word for Windows, Microsoft Access, Borland
dBase, and many other high-level desktop applications. Since Visual DLL
creates true Windows DLL's, DLL's created with Visual DLL can even be
called from low-level languages such as C, Pascal and Fortran.  To aid
programmers that use these languages, Visual DLL automatically creates C
header files and Basic `Declare' statements for access from third-party
applications.  In addition, by providing Visual Basic programmers the tools
for creating true Windows DLL's, Visual DLL can be used to protect Visual
Basic source code by creating binary library modules for distribution to
customers and third-party developers.  By placing Visual Basic code into a
dynamic-link library, the source code does not have to be given out to
provide the particular functionality of a module, thus for the first time
providing the ability for Visual Basic programmers the capability for
creating their own third-party libraries that they can sell without giving
away the source code.
