The Curse of Monkey Island Part 1 Get the ramrod from the back wall. Talk to Wally the small pirate until he drops his hook. Get the hook and combine it with the ramrod to make a gaff. Use the cannon to sink the four pirate ships. Go outside and use the gaff on the debris to get the cutlass. You can use it on Murray as well if you want. Back inside, use the cutlass on the cannon's restraining rope then use the cannon again. In the hold, get the bag of nickels and the ring behind it. Use the ring on the porthole to escape. Part 2 Get the glowing ember. Go to the swamp. Collect the pin and the paste, and use bag of nickels on the gumball machine for a pack of gum. Pull the alligator tongue to summon the voodoo woman. Talk to her until she tells you you need a ship, a crew and a map to get to Blood Island. Leave her and go to the theatre in the town. Get the wand and use it on the hat to get a book on ventriloquism. Get the glove from the coat pocket and examine the coat to get the dandruff. Look at the sticker on the trunk. Then go on stage and ask the actor about Blood Island. He will tell you his agent knows how to get there, and that you can find him at the beach club. >From here, go to the barber's shop. You can talk to everyone here for some clues but you don't have to. Push the salty pirate twice to get his jawbreaker. Give the glove to the dapper pirate. This is a challenge to a duel. At the duel, close the centre pistol box and choose the banjo behind it. Copy the notes the pirate plays until he starts showing off, then pick up one of the pistols and shoot his banjo. He will then agree to join your crew. Back at the barber's, use the headlice on the comb when Haggis puts it down. After Rottingham leaves, sit in the chair. Use the handle once, then pick up the paperweight. When Haggis leaves, use the handle to go to the top and get the scissors from the ceiling. Go to the chicken shop next and use the scissors on the flower and then the undergrowth behind it. You end up on a cliff top and when you move, a snake will swallow you. Collect everything from the inside of the snake, then use the flower on the syrup and the new, improved syrup on the snake. You will be vomited into some quicksand. Pick up the reed and a thorn from the bush. Combine the balloon with the paperweight and blow the balloon from next to you. When it has stopped moving, use the thorn with the reed and shoot the balloon with it to escape. Return to the chicken shop and enter it. Collect the pie dish, the biscuit cutter and a biscuit. Eat the biscuit. Use the maggots on the gross chicken and get the membership card from it. Push the quiet patron and get the knife from his back. Give the jawbreaker to Captain Blondebeard followed by the gum. When he blows a bubble, pop it with the pin. Get the tooth, chew some gum, put the tooth in the gum. Now, inhale some helium from the balloon, then quickly chew the gum with the tooth in it. The bubble should float through the window. You can now leave the chicken shop. Outside, use the pie dish in the puddle to retrieve the tooth. Go to the beach club and give the card to the cabana boy. Get a towel, use it in the ice bucket and use the wet towel on the cabana boy to get rid of him. Pick up the oil. Get two more towels and soak them in the ice bucket. Go to the beach and try to walk on the sand towards the sunbather. Use the towels one by one on the hot sand until you make it across to the sunbather. This is the actor's agent. Steal his mug. (If you talk to him, he will tell you he has the map tattooed onto his back. It's not neccessary though) Open the gate and leave, head for the lemonade stand in town. Use your mug on the mug, then ask for some lemonade. The boy will get annoyed and leave, so take the pitcher and fill it with some of the red dye by the stand. Return to the agent, and give him the bottomless mug. Then use the dye on the mug. He will turn over. User the oil on the map, his skin will burn and you will be able to peel it off his back. Go up to the hill where you had the duel, and use the biscuit cutter on the rubber tree. Then use the knife on the sawhorse. Ignite the trail of rum with the burning ember. The rubber tree will be added to the pile of logs there. Go back to the barber shop and agree to a caber toss with Haggis. After you win, you will be returned to the barber's shop where you can give the tooth to Cutthroat Bill. This completes your crew. Head to Danjer Cove, use the paste on the rubber plug, then insert it into the boat. Use the boat to row to the pirate ship. Use the knife to saw off the plank above you before going on deck. Once on deck, you'll get tarred and feathered. Go back to the chicken shop where you will be attacked by Blondebeard and returned to the pirate ship. Use the ventriloquism book on LeChimp. After the mate has left, Guybrush will get the treasure map. Leave by opening the porthole. Go to the theatre and go upstairs. Pull the handle to open all the shutters. Then use the directions you just got from the ship to press the buttons in the right order. (ie top left is North West). You should end up with an X on the stage. Go back to the dressing room and use the chicken grease on the cannonballs to make the actor drop them. You can now go on stage and get the shovel. Guybrush will dig Elaine up and put her on the ship. Part 3 Sing along with the pirates until you are offered the option of saying 'orange' There's no word to rhyme with orange so the crew will stop singing and get on with being a crew. Choose easy or hard battles depending on your preference. Look at the navigational chart and head for the ship marked with a '?'. Learn as many insults and retorts as possible, you need to keep attacking this ship until you have won. When you win, return to the harbour and buy the next grade of cannon up. Then go back to sea and find another ship to attack. Keep doing this until you have the best cannons available then attack Captain Rottingham. His insults will be different, just choose the most appropriate retorts from your list until he is beaten. Part 4 Get the bottle and bite it to get the cork out. Talk to Haggis until he says you can have the hand lotion if you get him a tar substitute. Head for the graveyard, walk through it until you get to where the dog is. Get the chisel and mallet from the table. Give the biscuit to the dog and after he bites you, get the smelly dog hair. Leave and go to the hotel. Go to the back room and use the chisel on the cheese to hack off a piece. Get the fridge magnet. Go to the bartender and get the recipe book and the stool cushion. Go upstairs, through the first door, and use the mallet with the nail. Go out of the door, and get the nail and the picture from the floor. Use the scissors on the picture to cut out the face. Put the rest of the picture on the door. Outside the hotel, put some cheese in the cooking pot on the barbecue. Now leave and head for the strange lights (village). Pick up the tofu, measuring cup and auger. Use the auger on the tofu to make a mask. Head north, use the tofu mask and watch the ceremony. Put the rest of the cheese into the lava. Watch the volcano erupt. Go to the windmill and collect the pepper, then to the beach. Use the cushion on the rocks and the mallet on the tree to get the egg. Return to the hotel, the cheese is now melted so pick up the pot. Get the hand cream before returning to the hotel. Now give the hair, egg and pepper to the barman. Ask for a drink, choose a fruity one to get the umbrella. Talk to Goodsoup about his family and the engagement ring. Get the mirror, and use the face from the portrait in its place. Get the jar from the bar. Use the chisel on the hangover cure to open it, then add some to your drink and drink it. You wake up in a coffin, use the chisel on it to get out. Collect the nails. Use the chisel on the centre coffin to free Stan. He will give you his card. Leave, and return to the hotel. Ask Goodsoup why you weren't buried in his family crypt. Try to persuade him you are family. (Fail) Talk to the fortune teller and have her read your fortune until you have collected five cards. Then go upstairs, into the first room again and look through the porthole. Goodsoup will look at you then go back to his bar. Go to the other door on the landing and use Stan's card on it to get in. Pull the bed and use all the nails to secure it to the floor. Collect the book and examine it. Back downstairs talk to Goodsoup again, this time he will recognise you as family. Continue talking about family until he has told you you are entitled to all the family benefits, including being buried in the family crypt. Then ask for another drink, spike it and drink it as before. You should wake up in the family crypt. (You don't have to talk to the ghost bride but she has some useful information) Look through the crumbling hole for a flashback! Go right to the end of the crypt and get the crowbar, then look through the hole. Murray will drop down beside you. Use the skeleton arm with the paste then with the lantern. Put the lantern on the coffin lid, then put Murray on the lantern. You will be released. Leave the crypt and go visit Stan. Take out an insurance policy with him. Return to the hotel and go into the back room to collect your death certificate. Go back upstairs to the skeleton's bedroom and use the crowbar on the boarded up window, then on the bed. He will fly down to the crypt and marry the ghost bride. Get the ring she drops. Then go back to Stan's and collect your cash. >From here, go to the windmill and use the umbrella on the windmill blades to ride to the top. Use the jar on the barrel. Now leave and go to the clearing. Use the chisel on the jar lid, then put the jar on the stump. When the fireflies are in there, use the lid on the jar. Use the hand lotion on the ring to get it off Elaine's finger. Go to the lighthouse and use the mirror on the mirror and the firefly lantern on the lantern post. That fixes the lighthouse. Go to the beach and ask the ferryman for a ride to Skull Island. He'll ask for a compass. Get some seawater in the measuring cup, use the pin on the magnet then on the cork then on the measuring cup. Voila! A compass. Give it to the ferryman and he will take you to Skull Island. Go to the top of the cliff and talk to the winch operator until he agrees to lower you down. While Guybrush is in free-fall, use the umbrella. Tell the smugglers you have loads of money, they will challenge you to a game of poker. Agree and when they deal the cards, use the five tarot cards from the fortune teller with the bad hand they deal you. After the cut scene, you will be returned to Blood Island. Go to the clearing, use the diamond on the ring and put it on Elaine's finger. Part 5 Talk to LeChuck until you get a chance to say 'Enough of your stories...' He'll leave and take Elaine with him. Open the door and you'll be in the Carnival. Talk to Dingy Dog, ask him about the prizes and get him to guess your age. Choose the anchor as your prize. Use the anchor in the pie tin, then use the shaving foam with it to make a fake pie. Put the pie on the pile by the Rat Man. He will shoot the cannon and knock out the guy behind the board. Go through the gate and look through the hole. Rat will throw a pie at you. Leave and go back to Dingy Dog and push him until he bites you. You should get some of his hair. Go to the right and get the pepper mill. Buy a snow cone from the soda jerk. Use the pepper, meringue and hair on the snowcone then eat it. You return to normal size and can now board the rollercoaster. Part 6 At the first diorama (3 headed monkey), get the fallen rope. At the second (pirates), get the grog. At the third (Guybrush being tortured), open the lantern, blow out the candle and take the oil. At the fourth (snow monkey), use the keg on the monkey's arm, use the oil on the rope then put the rope on the keg. Go back to the bottom and wait for LeChuck to show up. When he does, use the pepper mill on him the first time you get the chance. (Just before he blows at you). Watch the closing cut scene and the credits.
