How to: Copy or print an article, table, or image

Copy to clipboard

The text of any article can be copied to the Windows clipboard for use in other applications, for example, it can then be pasted into a document in your word processor and edited for your personal use.

To copy an entire article to the clipboard, bring up the article you want to copy on the right hand side of the screen, right-mouse click and choose Select All, then use your browser's own Edit/Copy function. This will copy the entire article text to the clipboard. It can then be pasted into your word processor using the usual Edit/Paste command.

In the same way, selected text from an article may be copied to the clipboard by highlighting the required text, right-mouse clicking, then choosing Copy.

Note: The Select All and Copy functions are also available on your browser's Edit menu.

Remember: An article copied to the clipboard will replace any other text already stored there.

Printing an article

To print an article, mouse-click on the text of the article once, then choose the Print command from your browser's own File menu.

Printing a picture or table

To print a picture or table, single-click on the icon on the article screen. This will open up a new browser window (the Media Window). From here, press Ctrl-P (hold down the Ctrl key and press P) on your keyboard to display the standard Windows Print dialogue box. When you are happy with the selected options, click OK to print.
