Quickly copy or open a file.
The Send To command lets you quickly send a file to a location or load a file in an application.
To use Send To:
- Right-click a file or folder icon.
The context menu appears.
- Hold the mouse cursor over Send To.
The cascading menu appears.
- Select a location or application.
To customize the Send To cascading menu:
- Double-click My Computer.
- Locate and click a program, folder, or drive you want to add to the Send To list.
- Right-click the selected icon.
The context menu appears.
- Select Create Shortcut.
A Shortcut to the location is created.
- Locate the Windows Folder.
- Double-click the Windows folder.
A listing of the contents of the Windows folder is displayed.
- Locate the Send To folder.
- Click the Shortcut you just made and hold the mouse button down as you drag it to the Send To folder.
Usually this is C:\Windows.
