After Power Browsing Tools is downloaded it can be unzipped by most any zip file program into a temporary directory of any name you want to use. Then double-click on "Setup.exe". Follow the directions and the setup program will install Power Browsing Tools for you. It is not important what name you give to the folder or directory you install Power Browsing Tools into. Once Power Browsing Tools is installed you do not have to do another thing with it. Netscape Navigator will automatically add it and start Power Browsing Tools running.
How do I start Power Browsing Tools running?
Power Browsing Tools starts running automatically whenever Netscape Navigator is started. You do not have to do anything else to start Power Browsing Tools.
How do I change Power Browsing Tools's preferences or options?
Use Navigator's "Edit" menu to select Navigator's "Preferences". Power Browsing Tools's preferences are included along with Navigator's. Look to the bottom of the list of Navigator's preferences. Click on the plus sign (+) in front of Power Browsing Tools to open Power Browsing Tools's list of installed modules, then select the module you would like to customize.
Why do my web pages reload when I hide and unhide the toolbars?
The web page reloads automatically whenever the menu bar is displayed.
This is a "feature" built into Windows. To avoid this we have written Power Browsing Tools
so that the tool bars and menu bar get displayed in two distinct stages.
The first stage is all the tool bars (without the menu bar) get displayed
as soon as the cursor is touched to the top of the screen. The second stage
is the menu bar is displayed. This occurs after holding the cursor at the
top edge of the screen for one second or more. The web page refreshes only
when the menu bar is displayed. It does not refresh when the tool bars
are displayed. In both cases the tool bars and menu bar are hidden when
the cursor is moved off the displayed bars.
Please feel free to email any questions or problems you might be having with Power Browsing Tools. This should be done after looking through the help pages and FAQ pages, of course.
