Because these assessment exams cover many of the concepts you are required to know for certification, the higher you score on a specific assessment exam, the closer you may be to passing the actual certification exam. However, these exams do not serve as actual certification exams, nor does performance on these exams guarantee or directly correlate to the success you may have on the actual certification exams. Setting Your Name ------------------------------------------------------ To set your name on an exam, click the Options button on the Select a Test window. This will bring up a dialog box that will allow you to enter your first and last name. When you start an exam, your name will appear in the test introduction and on any score reports. Starting An Exam ------------------------------------------------------ To take an assessment exam, click on one of the exam titles in the Select a Test window. Text describing the specific exam will appear in the Description window. To start the exam, click the Start Test button. There is no time limit on the assessment exams. And, you may repeat the assessment exams as often as you wish. On-line help is always available by clicking the Help button or pressing F1. Answering Questions ------------------------------------------------------ Specific instructions are provided for answering each question. Read the on-screen prompts before answering a question, to be sure that you understand what is expected. If you answer a question incorrectly, you will be given feedback indicating the correct answer. You will be allowed to review previous questions and to mark those you wish to review later, but you cannot change your answer to a question after proceeding to the next question. (You may repeat the exam if you wish.) Scoring ------------------------------------------------------ After you end the exam, your score will be automatically displayed.
