Based on the best-selling comic book created by Todd McFarlane, Spawn
is an action-adventure thriller that features special effects from
the Academy Award-winning wizards at Industrial Light + Magic. Six
years after being killed by his own agency, government agent Al
Simmons (Michael Jai White) is brought back to earth as Spawn, a dark
hero with supernatural powers. Endowed with the ability to change
shape at will, Spawn must choose between avenging his own death or
saving the ones he loves while battling his arch-rival, Clown (John
Leguizamo). Directed by Mark Dippe, who was part of the team
responsible for the groundbreaking effects on Jurassic Park, The
Flintstones, and Terminator 2, the film is produced by his long-time
partners Clint Goldman and Steve Williams. .
