All of them are on the campus near the departments and if they're not in the College's [ITAL]elegant [EITAL]original building, they're in [ITAL]attractive [EITAL]modern blocks and halls. So, option (1) room with meals included; (2) single or double room with kitchen shared between 6/7 students; and (3) single room without cooking facilities (buy meals at the refectory). All 1st years are guaranteed rooms in college and 93% take them (excluding some local and mature students), although 7% have to share - mixed couples not allowed. 7% of 2nd years live in and 63% of finalists. Rooms are along corridors some of which are single sex but mostly mixed. New blocks have been built to cope with a planned rapid expansion of students (more students, that is, not bigger ones).[PARA][BOLD]Car parking: [EBOLD]Parking is free with a permit [ITAL]and there's enough for the moment, although the situation is likely to deteriorate as numbers expand.[EITAL][PARA][PARA][ITAL][HDNG]EXTERNALLY:[EHDNG][EITAL][PARA][ITAL][GRPH]A2[EGRPH][STAT][BULL] Renting: 50% [BULL] Ave rent: £35[ESTAT][EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Availability: [EBOLD][ITAL]The problems of finding accommodation are getting worse as the College expands[EITAL]. About 3/4 of livers out are in bedsits and most of the rest in shared houses or flats. [ITAL]If you've got wheels of course, there are dinky little cottages aplenty, although some hippies have been known to disappear completely.[EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Housing help: [EBOLD]Help is at hand from the College's accommodation office which has 2 full time staff offering standard contracts, advice and a vacancies board.[PARA][PARA]
