Fewer students after the 1st year remain in University places (nearly 1/3 of 2nd years and just over 1/2 the finalists). Those in student houses (28% of livers in) have to share rooms but are [ITAL]judiciously partnered[EITAL]. The Lawns Halls (1 is self-catering) are accompanied by the Lawns Centre featuring all sorts of facilities.[PARA][BOLD]Car parking:[EBOLD] Permit parking only - get on your bike.[HDNG]EXTERNALLY:[EHDNG][PARA][STAT][BULL] Ave rent: £30[ESTAT][PARA][BOLD]Availability:[EBOLD] [ITAL]Finding housing isn't easy in Hull,[EITAL] [ITAL]but students could do worse than try the avenues off Beverley Rd, Cottingham Rd, Newland Avenue and Princess Avenue. Among the places where they could do better are East Hull (too far) and Bransholme and Orchard Park (both unwelcoming).[EITAL][PARA][PARA][STAT][BULL] Renting: 37%[ESTAT][PARA][BOLD]Housing help:[EBOLD] The Accommodation Service is run by the University and Union together and there's a head-leasing scheme whereby the University rents 650 places in 200 houses from landlords and sublets them to students for 48 weeks of the year at £27.58 per week.[PARA][PARA]
