Another Route

If you don't want to spend as much time going through job databases or if you would like to add more to your job search, you could try another route to getting the job. You might send your resume through the mail to a company's human resource department. Or you could send a copy of your e-mail electronically to a company you're interested in. If you are unsure of where to send your resume, you can look up many companies online, either through their own Web site or through a company database, like Hoover's Company Capsule (http://www.aboutwork.com/hoovers/top). Another extra of the About Work site is that Hoover's capsule includes a company's address, phone number, fax number, Web site address, and names of the folks you need to get hold of if you want to apply for a job. Other sites include Company profile information, including America's Employers and Jobsource.
