Warnings are notifications the antivirus generates to indicate that it has detected a virus. Because of the importance of this type of notification, its configuration is flexible and powerful to ensure that the virus notification reaches the right person. In order to enable a specific warning system, just check the box that appears next to it. If you also want to control how these alerts should be produced, click on the Configure button. Alert options may vary from one scan type to another (e.g. only the workstation and e-mail options are available for the permanent Internet scan). The different alert types are as follows:

In the workstation (the Configuration button will not appear in the configuration section of Internet warnings)

This option enables you to choose how notification will be given of the detection of a virus in the computer in which it was found. If you indicate that you wish to see the warnings in the computer where the virus was found, a button allows you to configure the type of notification.

Audible warning: plays a sound at the time a virus is detected.

Audible warning û beep: if this option is chosen, a beep will be heard each time a virus is detected.

Audible warning û WAV file: if you select this option, each time a virus is detected a WAV type file will be played. You can indicate which WAV file you wish to hear.

Show next warning message: this is the message that will be shown each time a virus is detected.

Remove warning message after: in order not to stop the scan, you can indicate that you want the warning message to disappear after a certain number of seconds.

Via e-mail

This option instructs the antivirus to use electronic mail to notify of the detection of a virus in a computer.

Predetermine: this enables the user to indicate that the configuration settings defined in that moment be used as the antivirusÆ default configuration values.
