pav6_uk00000003.gif Note: certain options are only available depending on the product purchased and the operating system configuration. For more information, see Differences between versions.

There are several options grouped under this section for a maximum ease of use.

Scan

Compressed files:
if this option is checked, all compressed files found will be scanned. These files will only be scanned if this option is checked. Selecting all the extensions is not enough.

Nested documents: by selecting this option, all documents within other documents will be scanned.

Generate report: if this option is checked, the data relative to the scan in question will be logged in the report.

All files: selecting this option will ensure the scanning of all files, regardless of their extension, except for compressed files, system files and the electronic mail files of Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook, which must be separately checked in order to be scanned.

Only program files: if this option is selected, only files with EXE or COM extensions will be scanned.

Only my extensions: this option enables you to scan all the files whose extensions are included in a list. Pressing the Extensions button takes you to this list.

Additional. This section only appear during the configuration of Lotus Notes Startup Scans, and not during the configuration of Permanent Lotus Notes Scans.

Enable sounds: if you check this option, you will enable the sounds in accordance with the configuration previously set in the corresponding section of general configuration.

Generate report:
if this option is checked, the data relative to the scan in question will be logged in the report.

Minimize while scanning:
if you check this option, the antivirus will automatically minimize itself when it starts the scan.

In the lower part of the configuration screens, the following two buttons appear:

Restore: this enables you to select the type of configuration desired: default (configuration settings that the user defined as standard) or manufacturer (initial configuration settings defined by the antivirus program).

Predetermine: this enables the user to indicate that the configuration settings defined in that moment be used as the antivirusÆ default configuration values.
