Lotus Notes system scans

In addition to performing the aforementioned scan types, Panda Antivirus 6.0 Home Edition / Platinum is capable of scanning Lotus Notes databases. It integrates with this database management program by adding menu options to its interface, thereby facilitating the detection tasks carried out on the information contained in the database.

Its ability to scan Lotus Notes databases permits Panda Antivirus 6.0 Home Edition / Platinum to perform immediate scans of selected databases, schedule scans jobs and automatically run them at a given time, scan upon starting up the Lotus Notes database or carry out permanent scans that constantly check all information managed.

In addition to performing the different scan types, Panda Antivirus 6.0 Home Edition / Platinum lets you configure each type of scan, the actions to take if an infection occurs, the characteristics with which the report should be generated and the alerts that can be sent to warn of virus detection.

Lotus Notes database scans can be carried out from the antivirus program or from the Lotus Notes database program. This means that Panda Antivirus 6.0 Home Edition / Platinum fully integrates in Lotus Notes in order to provide greater ease of use. The advantage of this is that you will not have to execute the antivirus program to scan a database document, for you can perform said scan from the Lotus Notes program itself. You need only select the Actions option form the main menu.

Lotus Notes databases may be selected from the antivirus item tree for scanning. Panda Antivirus 6.0 Home Edition / Platinum will scan entire Lotus Notes databases. If you need to scan individual documents contained within a database, but do not want to scan the entire database, you will have to open that database from Lotus Notes. Once you have done this, select the database documents you want to scan. These can then be scanned by means of the corresponding option in the Actions menu.
