Canterbury

Canterbury is the Sydney Turf Club's second racecourse. The circumference of the track is 1,503 metres. The straight is 309 metres long. It is a small saucer-shaped course with sharp turns that suit short striding gallopers. It is best suited to horses that begin fast and can hold a forward position all the way. Horses that get well back in the field find it hard to win.
