Edouard Albert graduated from the academy of art in Paris (Ecole des Beaux -Arts) in 1937.
He turned metal tubes into a new, skilful, noble style of architecture. He was one
of the pioneers of this fashion adventure with engineer ProuvΘ who was a frequent visitor
to the studio he directed from 1963 to 1968.
He introduced new materials into the post-war world (synthetic plastics) then quickly
turned his attention to metal construction. He no longer worked with volume but with space
and, through it, with thought itself.
The architect was a researcher, constantly exploring and experimenting with the natural
link between technical, economic and aesthetic concepts.
