AboutTime

AboutTime is both a time client and server -- it will acquire a time value from the Internet, set your computer's clock, and it will act as a timeserver as well -- it will provide time signals to your local network using four time protocols. Additional copies of AboutTime can be installed to provide time synchronization on each machine of your local network.
AboutTime uses advanced techniques and protocols to permit clock setting accuracies of
+ - 50 milliseconds in most cases, using only a modem connection to the Internet. A complete explanation of the methods is provided below.

Absolutely On-line

Absolutely On-line is really easy to use, after you started it the first time, you need to chose your default RAS services selecting it from the RAS combo box (if you use only one RAS provider then it will be automatically selected).
Optionally you can provide a password associated with that provider. If you want to use the time set function then insert a Time Server name in the Time combo. If you want Absolutely On-line automatically connect at start then check the ôAuto Dialö checkbox. All settings will be saved.

These instructions assume your system has network access and TCP/IP sockets services installed. If your system has a working Web browser and/or you can visit the Internet, then these conditions have been met.
Connecting is very simple. Run EasyTerm and press the leftmost toolbar button (or select Connect ... New Connection from the menu). In the "Host" location, type the name of a site that supports telnet. In "Port," choose a protocol. In most cases, the default Telnet port is correct, but you may use the drop-down list to select another, or you may type in a numerical port for nonstandard port numbers.

NetSwitcher Version 2.3

NetSwitcher is a utility which addresses a problem in Windows 95/NT which afflicts users who need to connect to more than one network. For example, if you regularly work in two different locations and use a notebook computer with an Ethernet card, you may need to have different IP addresses, netmasks, gateways, hostname, etc. MicrosoftÆs Network Control Panel allows you to change these but it is a manual, time consuming, and error prone process. NetSwitcher solves this problem by "memorizing" your networking setups and allowing you to restore them when you need to change hookups. If your new setup requires a reboot, NetSwitcher will prompt you to reboot. If, however, a reboot is not required, then unlike the Network Control Panel, no reboot will be requested.

Installation of the FSManager suite of products is done via running the executable which you downloaded from our site. It will install the specified module in a directory of your choice. It is recommended that you install all of the FSManager products into the same subdirectory on your hard drive, making upgrading, or uninstallation an easier process. Castalia Socket Tester v1.0

The Castalia IP Socket Tester allows for simple testing of socket based IP communications using a specific Port number. StatusView Server

StatusView is available in 16 and 32-bit versions. Both versions can be run simultaneously from different workstations connected to a shared network server. This is a telnet client with full color ANSI support for Windows NT/95 console. You can use this program from the Win95 command line (MsDos) and run in full screen text mode. I find this very desirable when I want to concentrate on my telnet session. You may also redirect the telnet session to STDIN and STDOUT for use with other programs.

TPing allows you to ping computers without interaction.
To use TPing...
Select the desired IP's for pinging in the 4 list boxes. The text boxes are there so to help in the selection of IP's. If you type 1 in a text box, all of the items in the list box that begin with a 1 are selected. You can also type * to select all of the entries in the list. At this point you can save you selections from the list boxes to a file by clicking save IP file.
Next select the packet size and the timeout. The defaults should work fine. Also you can select if you want this session to be continuous or just one round. Continuous will go on indefinitely. If you would like to create a log file you may at this point. Click Log and you can choose from a log file or log database. You can also select whether you want unique IP's or All IP's. The log only keeps track of positive responses.

This program is dedicated to the smell of Toast on a Sunday Morning. I've tried to keep the screensaver module as simple as possible. But there are a couple of points worthy of note. Firstly Screen Mode Changing must be enabled if you are using True-Colour or Hi-Colour display. There ought to be no reason why you wouldn't want to enable the automatic screen mode functions, but the option to disable it is provided just in case.
