SubWWWay - Being There
- Festpass is one of the best sites around if you're looking for any sort of festival in Europe.
- What's Going On is one of the best of the event-seeker websites, with its ultra-snazzy 'Coolest Place on Earth Today' page, it's Top Ten lists and it's search engine, which works by category, place and date. If only they weren't so damn Amero-centric.
- Eventseeker is snazzy but ultimately disappointing. There's good stuff in here, but it's thin on the ground.
- Culturekiosque includes a calendar of (mostly-European) arty events.
- Digital Passport have put together a list of International Holidays, probably most useful for knowing if the banks in Upper Volta are going to be closed when you're there.
- It's Happening! EventsLINK has exhaustive US listings, patchy country listings and a grab-bag of topical listings.
- The Epicurious World Events Calendar has descriptions and details of happenings all over the planet.
- Check out preparations for the 'biggest concert and party ever held on planet earth' at the Party 2000 page.
FOOD
- Culturekiosque's cyberchef has recipes and articles about world cuisine.
- The food pages from Epicurious are full of tasty treats like chopstick etiquette, food and drink festivals around the world and a recipe archive searchable by cuisine.
- Eat Here is a guide to food on the road in the USA - this is where you come to find out who makes the best burger in Nebraska.
- Beer's food, right? Pubspy is all about pubs - how good's the beer, how cute are the staff, how likely are you to pick up. There's not much there yet, so visit, add your review, and come back later.
