Working in Singapore

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to work in Singapore for
someone from Australia.
What are the requirements.

    it's just as difficult, with the same sort of rules, as
    your lot make it for the great unwashed out here. work
    permit, job before you go etc etc. short answer tricky if
    you're a bartender but not impossible if you're a
    professional. don't work illegally, the chinese will shop
    you instantly as they think you have THEIR job.

    got a friend who came here from suriname. shopped around
    for two months and found work. give it a shot. economy is
    picking up around here.
