Does anyone know of anywhere in Thailand (preferably
North) where I could go for a month or so to learn Thai
Boxing? Any info on where, how much, quality etc greatly
appreciated,
Thanks, David

In Chiang Mai you might want to try training at this place
near Chiang Mai University. I don't know the name, but I
used to see quite a few well built farangs out training
everyday. To get there you take a songthaew out Huey Kaew
Road until you get to Phucome Hotel (at the Dunkin'
Donuts). Get off there. There is a 7-11 across the road.
Next to the 7-11 is a soi. Follow that soi for about 1200
metre or so. You'll find the camp there. Or just look for
the tough looking farangs who look like they'd take no guff
from anyone. They'll clue you in.
    Happy boxing.

If you do go south, go to the island Ko Phag Nan near Ko
Samui. There's a boxing school there that is pretty good.
Its run by a NZ woman who is a bit of an arsehole but knows
her stuff, and also some Thai guys who are very good
    patient teachers.
