I need a recommendation for a guest house in HCMC. I'd like
to find one that is similar, in terms of atmosphere and
amenities, to the Walkabout Guest House in Phnom Penh.

Thanks

Don't know anything about the Walkabout, but my favourite
Accom. in HCMC is the Minihotel Hong Kong at 22 Bui Vien
St, because of the wonderfully, kind people that run it.
By the way, I have posted this a few times in answer to
similar requests and would be interested to hear from
    people who have tried it.

I highly recommend the Xuan Thu Guest House. It's a nice
family run place. A room will run you about $6 per night.
The rooms are clean, the water warm, and the breakfasts
free. You're also invited to put your picture up on a
world map along with the countless other travelers that
have been there. (I'm the guy to the left of Los Angeles)
You definitely won't have to worry about leaving your
belonging behind while you're out exloring. You'll find it
    at:
    178/17 Co Giang Street
    1st District- HCMC
Hope that helps. Email me if you want pics of the place.
