Recent Indochina Travelogues...

For all of you planning the Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam &
Laos trail, I've just stubbled across some very recent
travelogues on the following site:
.
http://www.slip.net/~georgem/khlavn.htm
.
(Just copy and paste this into your Address bar)
.
It's especially useful for those of you worried about
border crossings (Thailand - Cambodia etc).
.
By the way, where do you recommend staying in Siem Reap
(under US$10) and where can I catch a traditional Khmer
Dance performance?
.
Happy wanderings....

  2. Try this site... Added by: Andy (andy.brouwer@btinternet.com)

    ...try the ITISNET website at:
    http://www.itisnet.com/english/asia/cambodia/e-cam-top.htm
for detailed info on Siem Reap & Ph Penh, and a whole lot
    more.
Spot on about George Moore's website...he carries up to
date posts/travel reports all the time. Be sure to check
    his site regularly.
If you want to read a travelogue from Cambodia, have a look
    at my site at:
    http://www.btinternet.com/~andy.brouwer/index.htm.
It also carries an up to date book-list and a newsy page
    entitled Bits & Pieces.

  3. bad adress Added by: TLC
[Timestamp: Sun 23 May, 16:40 Tasmanian Standard Time]

try again with your address andy. doesn't seem to be
working. Thanks to WAT NO WATS for a great new site. Does
anyone know why vientiene times site has been down for so
long? It has happened before when their webmaster went
away. It is one of the best sites around for Laos & border
issues. a lot better than phomn Phen Post which reqiures a
    subscription of $US50.
    .

  4. TLC - Looks okay to me... Added by: Andy (andy.brouwer@btinternet.com)
[Timestamp: Sun 23 May, 19:37 Tasmanian Standard Time]

...both the ITISNET address and my own are correct. As WNW
suggested, I cut and pasted both without any problem.
If anyone wants a list of travelogue sites focusing on
Cambodia, drop me a line. There's a few out there hidden
    amongst RTW trips, etc.

[Timestamp: Wed 26 May, 3:57 Tasmanian Standard Time]

...TLC and we'll see if we can't sort the problem out.
    My email is: andy.brouwer@btinternet.com
    My URL is:
    http://www.btinternet.com/~andy.brouwer/index.htm
(its a United Kingdom site). The site itself is about 25
separate reports from my last Cambodian trip, as well as a
Bibliography, articles on Battambang and Sambor Prei Kuk, a
photo gallery and a 'general interest' page. It also
contains about 70 pictures and a few Ennio Morricone
    soundbytes!
Always happy to receive constructive criticism. Another
trip in December should see me adding a few more pages!
