From Kanchanaburi to Phang Nga

Hello!
Is there any direct way from Kan south (via Phetburi)to
Phang Nga or do I have to backtrack to Bangkok. Also which
TC's are most widely accepted in Thailand?

    You can definitely avoid Bangkok - a Thai friend regularly travels from southern Thailand to Kanchanaburi, avoiding BNK.
    You have to change trains somewhere south of BNK.
    Unfortunately I've never done it, so can not tell you exactly where.
    Defintely possible though - also by bus.

    You can take a train to Nakhon Pathom and then take a train
    south without going into Bangkok. Am ex checks are probably
    the most readily accepted.
