Wondered if anybody knew anything about a full moon party
happening new years eve. We are hoping to go but have
little idea where it is and whats the best way to go about
such things as accomodation transport etc
Cheers

  1. BEWARE FULLMOON PARTIES! Added by: Leanne (Leanne.h@bigpond.com.au)
[Timestamp: Fri 21 May, 21:13 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I am just back from Southern Thailand, don't know if this
is where you are heading but let me tell you BEWARE. Two
German Girls travelling together were invited to a full
moon party on Koh Pha-Ngan, one decided she was tired and
went to bed the other wanted to party. Unfortunately the
party girl disappeared never to be seen or heard of again.
Two weeks later her brother was there walking the beaches
and streets with her photo asking if anyone had seen her.
Still nothing as yet as far as I know.
A work colleague of mine also attended a full moon party, I
can't rememer which island in Thailand but he said there
was heaps of drugs, be careful who you get your gear from,
and that there was some very serious dudes hanging about.
Just keep your wits about you if you go to one! He said it
was good but didn't get really wasted or pissed.
Hope this is of help to you.
