Howdy folks,
As a young lad about four years ago I lived in Bandung for
a year doing voluntary work, and this summer I've got my
first chance to go back.
I'll be in Indo for about two months all told, travelling
through Java, Bali, and Lombok from about the middle of
July.
I'll be travelling on my own, and just though I'd drop a
mail to see if there's anyone out there in a similar
situation who wants to meet up.
Any takers? Drop me a line.
Cheers

Watch "Year of Living Dangerously", and remember there's a
real, live , possibly violent election right about then.
This is discussed in some posts below. Take heed, mate.
Karlo,
Thanks for the advise, but I've got Indonesian friends who
are fairly clued up on the political situation. They do
admit however, that anything could happen which is why I'm
not going until middle of July, meaning the situation has
time to stabilise or go ballistic.
I'm avoiding known areas of unrest, and going to be taking
it really easy.
Thanks for the advise though.
Cheers
Ian
We were planning on flying into Jakarta around June 21st, but due to the election we are electing to start in KL or Singapore. This will allow us the maximum flexability, since we can rock Malaisya and Borneo for however long we need to until things chill in Indo (assuming there is problems). Worst case, we have to skip Indo, and head directly for Thiland....not bad for a worst case scenario.

Hi!
I intend to visit Indonesia in August and Septembre,
starting in Singapure or Kuala Lumpur, leaving preferably
from Bali. I'm a girl and intend to go alone so it would be
really nice to have a travell companion at least for a
while. If you're intersted, mail me.
Bye,
Vesna
