Accomodation in Peru

Hey fellow globetrotters,
We are heading to Peru in July. Can anyone recommend relatively clean, safe, and friendly places to stay (other than what's mentioned in the LP guide, or the Handbook), at the following locations: Lima, Trujillo, Pisco, Arequipa, Puno, Cuzco. Our budget is US$15 - 20 for a double.
We would also like to take a jungle tour from Puerto Maldonado. Does anyone have any recommendations on jungle lodges, and if so, what did they like about the lodge.
Thanks, in advance, for all your help.
Happy travels!

Ditto on the Suecia II. In Arequipa try the Hotel Regis. Good
place to meet travelers. Sorry but neither one of these
places meets your price requirements. Both are cheaper. Never
stayed in a hotel as expensive as you want. But if you insist
on spending all that money they are around.

    In Cuzco:
There is a Dutch couple who help streetkids, they "have" 12 of their own, and help others by giving away clothes, food, school articles, etc. The money comes from donations and from their own hotel that they recently bought. The "family" lives in the back of the hotel. Very down-to-earth, humerous people! Say hi to them for me if you decide to stay there.

They are usually fully booked, so book well in advance.
    .
In Pisco: Hotel Pisco on the main plaza (Plaza de Armas). About 20 Soles for a double as far as I remember (approx. US$8).

Cusco - Hostal Apu Wasi - on Calle Pumacurco - U.S. $4 each
Arequipa - Hostal La Reyna (rooms for tourists) - U.S. $3 to
    $4 each
Lima - Pension Ibarra (Avenida Tacna 359 in center of Lima)
    U.S. $5 each
Trujillo - Hotel Espana several blocks below Ormeno bus
station - ask tourist police for exact location . $U.S. 6
    each.
Pisco - Some lady met me at the bus station. Stayed at her

Puno - did not go there.
I stayed at the places mentioned above and recommend them to
all people who are interested in visiting these locations.
They were all clean, management was friendly, and hot water
    was available in the shower.

Look up on the web : Bahuaja_lodge.com.
It's a beautiful little lodge on the Tambopata. Peaceful,
with lots of things to do and run by a local Anglo-Peruvian
couple aiming to "give something back". They know the
locals and can take you on the trails, or fishing, or
visiting the local school, or up river to the macaw lick.
I would love to be back there right now.
